Rotational Development Programs

Our Rotational Development Programs are designed to accelerate your growth and build your leadership skills through rotational assignments, formal mentoring relationships, and learning conferences. Our programs include:

Technology Leadership Development Program

Our Technology Leadership Development Program (TLDP) builds versatile technology leaders by providing cross-functional experience through three rotations. All three rotations take place within our technology organization, and you’ll be exposed to our technology operations while you build your business acumen and leadership skills.

You’ll see Allstate from three perspectives, while building stronger networks and gaining a better understanding of how the company functions as a whole. Your assignments will involve people management, financial management, project management, client-facing work, operations, strategy, change management, and technical skills development. Your assignments could include:

  • Developing architecture and infrastructure to support digital transformation
  • Building innovative self-service solutions that maximize the customer experience
  • Partnering with business teams to develop and deploy transformative technology solutions to provide the best products and services to our customers
  • Working on emerging technologies and using innovative techniques that are shaping the future, including Agile XP programming, rapid product prototyping, scrum, data analytics, and machine learning
  • Solving complex business and technology problems by providing simple, creative, innovative, and cost-effective solutions
  • Leading projects and managing teams

Finance Development Program

Our Finance Development Program (FDP) is designed to build versatile leaders by providing cross-functional experience through three rotations within the Finance/Risk organization at Allstate. Each rotation lasts one full year and different areas within Finance/Risk to build the business acumen and deep expertise imperative for successful leadership at Allstate. Rotations within each area could include Treasury, Corporate/Business Finance and Strategy, Investments Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate/Business Risk, Audit, Investor Relations, Tax, Accounting, and/or Risk and Capital Modeling. In this program, your assignments can involve:

  • People, project, and change management
  • Client-facing work
  • Operations
  • Strategy
