Job Description
Senior Investments AI Lead to drive investment organization’s artificial intelligence initiatives. In this critical role, you will bridge the gap between strategic vision and technical execution, working directly with investment teams to identify high-value AI opportunities while personally implementing solutions that deliver measurable business impact.
This is a hands-on position for someone who combines deep technical expertise with strategic thinking and excellent stakeholder management skills. You will shape our AI roadmap while also rolling up your sleeves to build and deploy innovative solutions. This role will also work in close partnership with Investments Technology, Analytics and Decisions Support and Quantitative Research teams to drive value creation from AI.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Explore and evaluate AI use cases with different investment teams to identify opportunities with highest ROI
- Establish an AI operating framework to guide initiatives and ensure consistent implementation
- Partner with Investments Technology to advise on technology stack selection and build vs. buy decisions for AI solutions
- Identify opportunities to enhance traditional quantitative models with AI and machine learning techniques
Technical Implementation
- Design, build, and maintain end-to-end AI solutions, including LLM integrations, RAG systems, and custom ML models
- Implement scalable AI infrastructure that supports current needs while allowing for future growth
- Create reusable AI components that can be leveraged across different business functions
- Stay current with emerging AI technologies and evaluate their potential application
- Document technical approaches and best practices to ensure knowledge sharing
Governance & Risk Management
- Collaborate with risk and governance teams to establish responsible AI guidelines
- Ensure AI solutions adhere to regulatory requirements and ethical standards
- Develop processes for AI model validation, monitoring, and quality assurance
- Address data privacy, security, and bias concerns in AI implementations
Team Leadership & Education
- Foster AI literacy across the organization through workshops and training
- Mentor technical team members on AI best practices and implementation strategies
- Communicate complex AI concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audience.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- This job does not have supervisory duties.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or related field (Master's or PhD preferred)
- 5+ years of experience building and deploying production-grade AI/ML solutions
- Proven experience implementing LLM-based applications with frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, etc.
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with vector databases, RAG architectures, and prompt engineering
- Demonstrated ability to translate business problems into technical AI solutions
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies
- Strong communication skills with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
- Experience in financial services or investment management or financial engineering
- Knowledge of MLOps workflows and tools (MLflow, Kubeflow, etc.)
- Experience with data engineering and building data pipelines
- Familiarity with AI governance, risk management, and compliance considerations

Compensation offered for this role is $169,000.00 – 242,500.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
