Job Description
The Platform Consultant Senior Expert engages in solution design at the platform level. The Platform Consultant profile here at Allstate has technical expertise and is considered a subject matter expert over products and platform, driving the horizontal platform consultant community and contributing to building consistency across the enterprise. This individual will serve as a technical mentor for the platform consultant community and the technical strategy across a large organization.
The Platform Consultant Sr Expert is responsible for aligning product design to local and enterprise standards/patterns and can unlock business value while enabling engineering focus. This individual interacts with senior leaders in the organization within technology, architecture and business to understand future visions to align strategic direction with tactical needs across the entire ecosystem. This role combines hands-on engineering capabilities with the ability to lead and influence architecture direction.
Key Responsibilities

Expertly manages the priorities, value and time to support the platform to achieve measurable impact to business outcomes.

Conducts stakeholder and risk analysis along with problem solving with the dedicated platform consultant as high priority initiatives arise and critical decisions need to be made.

Influences Discovery and Framing sessions across entire ecosystem. Engages in applying simplicity to achieve desired outcomes.

Serves as a key contributor to the overall landscape of technical architecture those platform consultants contribute to.

Acts as a liaison between technical leaders and business leaders. Provides direction and guidance of future strategy ensuring the roadmaps for both business and technology align tactically and strategically.

Builds trust and influence with engineering directors and principal engineers, along with our design leaders to influence backlogs and engineering practices.

Demonstrates subject matter expertise and considers input from the Community of Platform in reaching decisions, enabling strategies/patterns and when handling ECC red to green situations.

Applies industry standards and engages in emerging technologies. Filters important findings to the rest of the community.

Serves as a thought leader with the ability to influence technical decisions in a collaborative manner by questioning and considering implications.
Essential Qualifications

Be able to demonstrate 5+ Years of designing and implementing enterprise software frameworks. (Java etc.)

5+ Years Influencing architectural standards based on engineering learnings
-
5+ years writing Java based software products
-
10+ years practical coding skills and ability to drive simple solutions
-
5+ years driving design thinking and lean hypothesis frameworks
Desirable Qualifications
-
5+ years working in a product driven model

Compensation offered for this role is $147,000.00 – 228,000.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
