Job Description
The Specialty Product Management Senior Consultant II provides expertise and support for Specialty UW/vendor products and implementations, new product development, and process improvements. Assists with management of existing vendor products via complex data mining to ensure accuracy and minimize leakage. Must be able to multi-task and work on numerous issues/projects that may arise by pulling ad-hoc analyses and digging in deeper when outliers exist.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides deep subject matter expertise for UW vendor reports and underlying data tables that exist.
- Must be able to dig into the details of emerging issues to identify root causes. Problem solving prowess is a must.
- Builds vendor report quality control dashboards to quickly identify outliers for investigation.
- Monitors product implementations with cross-functional areas to ensure accuracy.
- Assists in investigating issues with MVR, CLUE Reports, Credit Reports, Vehicle History Reports, etc.
- Provides mentoring and serves as SME for various business areas.
- Provides thorough research and identifies enhancements to product offerings, presenting findings and recommendations to key internal stakeholders.
- Researches production issues, provides solutions and tracks & monitors progress on any IT fixes needed for issue resolution.
- Anticipates potential problems, develops contingencies and solution alternatives, and recommends a solution with consideration of resources, prioritization and financial impact.
- Provides guidance/details on implementations requirements as needed and provides feedback and support on requirement creation.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- This job does not have supervisory duties.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)
- 3 or more years of experience (Preferred)
- In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- No Certification, License or Registration is required for the job.
FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Medium to Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Understanding of the auto insurance rating algorithm.
- Solid understanding of NPS Vendor Services data tables and ability to append complex data sets to them.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to act with a sense of urgency for emerging critical items.
- Ability to learn new applications and systems and process complex data from multiple sources.
- Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Moderately skilled in SQL or similar programming languages such as SAS.
- In-depth knowledge of NPS system.
