This role will be instrumental in driving the development and execution of 7-10 high-priority, often complex, special projects and initiatives across the Foundation team.
The Strategic Innovations Manager will act as a central driver of momentum, leveraging their expertise to facilitate collaboration, navigate internal processes, manage timelines and budgets, and ensure successful outcomes. This individual will be versatile, capable of quickly integrating into diverse work streams, providing critical support, and seeing initiatives through to fruition. This role demands a strategic thinker with exceptional execution skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and a passion for contributing to the Foundation’s mission.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Initiatives Leadership: Support the implementation of 7-10 strategic innovation initiatives concurrently, ranging from rapid-turnaround conferences and events to longer-term initiatives like the creation of foundational, signature projects.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a key point of contact and facilitator across different Foundation program teams and with external partners, ensuring seamless communication and alignment. This involves fostering collaborative environments and building strong working relationships.

Internal Process Navigation: Expertly navigate Allstate's internal review and approval processes, including procurement, routing documents, coordinating meetings with stakeholders (legal, communications, etc.), and proactively addressing potential roadblocks. This requires a deep understanding of internal systems and procedures.

Vendor Engagement Support: Support the Foundation in identifying, vetting, and securing vendors for strategic projects, including gathering and reviewing proposals, coordinating vendor meetings, and ensuring timely contract finalization. This includes ensuring vendor alignment with project objectives.

Timeline and Deliverable Execution: Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, track progress against milestones, proactively identify potential delays, and implement solutions to ensure timely completion of key deliverables. This emphasizes the proactive execution of timelines and deliverables.

Communication and Reporting: Prepare and disseminate clear, concise, and timely updates on project status, key decisions, and potential risks to internal stakeholders, including senior leadership. This involves strategic communication to keep stakeholders informed and engaged.

Capacity and Process Improvement: Enhance the Foundation's capacity to execute complex projects by mapping out, establishing and improving processes, fostering collaboration, and providing organizational support. This includes developing templates that ensure greater effectiveness and efficiency across the organization.

Knowledge Sharing and Best Practices: Contribute to the development and sharing of best practices in strategic initiative execution and innovation across the Foundation team. This focuses on sharing expertise and contributing to continuous improvement.
Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in driving the development and execution of multiple complex strategic initiatives simultaneously, preferably within a foundation, non-profit, or corporate social responsibility setting.

Experience managing budgets, including planning, tracking, and reporting financials.

Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders at all levels.

Proven ability to navigate internal processes and secure necessary approvals within a large organization.
-
Experience in vendor engagement and procurement, including identifying, vetting, and managing relationships with external partners.

Proficiency in tools and software that support strategic planning and execution (e.g., Airtable, Microsoft Project).

A proactive and solutions-oriented approach with a strong ability to anticipate and address potential challenges.

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Compensation offered for this role is $95,700.00 – 170,925.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
