Job Description
The role of an Infrastructure Solutions Engineer Lead Consultant for the Voice Platform team will consist of the building, configuration and lifecycle management of various Avaya applications and hardware. The work follows with the strategic vision of Allstate’s future in mind and will align with the current and approved Voice Platform architectural direction, roadmaps, technology standards and templates in place.
The candidate will be required to establish written procedures, guidelines and techniques, develop others, enhance testing, supports, maintains, and debugs vended software and hardware that support the Voice Infrastructure ecosystem. Individual contributor role; fully competent to work under general direction on the most complex projects, often on multiple phases, and seeks guidance and direction from more senior Voice Engineers. Often responsible for the completion of a phase of a project.
Participates in various automation and integration activities, resulting in more efficient and effective operations / administration.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the product development lifecycle, from ideation and planning to launch and ongoing improvement.

Implement and maintain a scalable and reliable Avaya platform including applications such as Communication Manager, Experience Portal, Call Management System, etc
-
Provide input on strategic direction and new technologies
-
Engage in discovery/test & learn activities to quickly validate assumptions and product direction.

Work with vendors on solving issues, driving Root Cause Analysis and mistake-proofing systems.
-
Define and manage metrics to measure the performance of the Voice eco-system. Build pro-active alerting to minimize downtime
-
Identify gaps in current systems and processes and recommend appropriate solutions.

Develop detailed documentation including process flows, use cases, technical designs and job aides
-
Ensure compliance with security and governance standards.

Lead Disaster Recovery exercises
Qualifications
-
5+ years of hands-on experience working on Avaya systems and hardware
-
Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) experience are required
-
Oracle SBC administration knowledge is a plus
-
Experience working with Virtual hardware platforms with datacenter redundancy
-
Knowledge of PCI requirements and solutions ensuring Voice compliance
-
Data Literacy: Ability to navigate complex data landscapes, leveraging insights to inform product decisions
-
Agile Processes: Proficiency in Agile methodologies (e.g., iterations, point systems, refinements) is a plus
-
Adaptability – able to handle day to day changing priorities and assignments
Education
4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)
Experience
5 or more years of experience (Preferred)
Supervisory Responsibilities
