Job Description
The Lead Engineer – SAP Financials will be the direct leader responsible for the day-to-day development and support of our SAP-related financial applications working with our global teams. The position requires a strong well-rounded SAP technical leader to quickly learn the overall business and technology processes supported by the team while also eager to learn and grow skills within the SAP landscape consisting of SAP ECC, S/4, BTP (Business Technology Platform) and multiple SaaS solutions. Position requires hands on development expertise along with solid integration and security knowledge.
Lead Engineers are expected to build relationships throughout the organization to ensure whole-company alignment and support for their goals, and vice-versa. The Lead Engineer architects and designs their digital products using modern tools, technologies, frameworks, and systems. They apply a systematic application of scientific and technological knowledge, methods, and experience to the design, implementation, testing, and documentation of software. They own and manage running their application in production, and ultimately becomes accountable for the success of their digital products through achieving KPIs.

Manage teams that are responsible for strategic and critical pieces of architecture or provide functions that are of key strategic value to the business.

Act as an authority in software best practices and be relied upon to propagate these in the broader organization, beyond their individual team.

Leverage and influence key stakeholders
Specific to SAP technical responsibilities:

Designing, configuring, and implementing SAP solutions to meet complex business challenges.

Working directly with business and technical teams in assessing and providing technology support

Understanding multiple end-to-end business and technology processes

Knowledgeable of technical details, integration, and functions of SAP and non-SAP systems
-
Evaluating potential system enhancements and upgrades and influencing the product roadmap
-
Identifying and implementing process improvements and product simplification opportunities
-
Providing technical or functional leadership for team members
-
Ensuring industry and technology best practices are followed for development.
Job Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in SAP Financials, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership or managerial role. (Preferred)

You have deep understanding of SAP S/4 and the modern SAP ecosystem
-
You have software configuration and development experience in areas of ABAP, CDS views, OData services, API’s and ABAP RESTful programming
-
You have experience working in SAP-Fiori/UI5, BRF+, Workflow
-
You have deep understanding of technology best practices in areas of development and security.
-
You have experience in Test Driven Development (TDD) and Agile SCRUM methodologies.
-
You have excellent problem-solving skills and love to continuously learn.

You are a team player and have well-developed verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

You are dedicated, self-directed, motivated, proactive, and inquisitive.
Education
• 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)
