Job Description
As an Architect-Sr Manager one contributes strategic vision to the organization and integrates a broad range of ideas regarding IT architecture. The Architect-Sr Manager is recognized across the organization for IT architectural expertise, influencing and motivating other team members, and is sought as a resource for resolving the most complex IT architectural problems. The Architect-Sr Manager provides leadership on the most complex architecture projects involving multiple disciplines and other business areas, interacting, influencing, and presenting. to Vice Presidents and Senior Vice Presidents. As an Architect-Sr Manager one is expected to lead an organization within the IT Department that likely consists of several individual teams. At this level, the Architect-Sr Manager sets the strategic direction for their organization in support of the business objectives of the company, ensuring the structures and processes needed to effectively deliver the mission of their organization are in place. They create a work environment that enables their employees to be their best and deliver on their accountabilities. They are personally accountable for leading organizational change, delivering business results by working across the organization and development of employees. They demonstrate a high level of influence within their own organization, with their business partners, peer leaders and senior leaders.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive the adoption of reference architectures and initiatives to replace tactical solutions with strategic solutions.
• Collaborate with clients and partners to define technology migration strategies and approaches.
• Consult on the application of reference architectures and serve as subject matter expert with contextual knowledge of the business model.
• Provide technical and professional leadership over large or complex initiatives where multiple architectural disciplines are involved. Execute governance over solutions developed by architects.
• Utilize or develop reusable patterns, practices, and enterprise reference architectures based on industry best practices that fit within the overall architectural blueprint.
• Provide thought leadership, innovative ideas, and drive toward partnership at the table. Make presentations externally, engaging with business partners, and leading benchmarking activities.
• Define enterprise reference architectures in collaboration with all architecture disciplines and ensure that new architecture components comply with existing enterprise reference architectures.
• Influence Vice President and Senior Vice President level leadership from business and technology disciplines, presenting and delivering highly complex solutions as needed.
• Identify opportunities to enhance the architecture. Create and articulate the case for change by highlighting the potential business/customer benefits.
• Ensure the architectures support and remain current with the business and its strategies.
Education
• 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)
Experience
• 10 or more years of experience (Preferred)
