Job Description
The Data & Reporting Analyst Apprentice supports data preparation, reporting, and basic analysis while building foundational skills in SQL, Excel, and Power BI. Designed for students in two year community college program, this role offers hands on training, guided mentorship, and real experience working with enterprise data. Apprentices will help clean and organize data, update dashboards, and support recurring reporting in a collaborative, learning focused environment.
The Data & Reporting Analyst Apprenticeship is a structured, paid training experience designed for students enrolled in two‑year community college program. This program builds technical confidence and hands-on experience through real-world data projects, mentorship, and exposure to enterprise analytics tools.
Apprentices will learn foundational skills across data preparation, reporting, visualization, and basic analysis while contributing to actual business work. This program is designed to develop future analytics talent and support early‑career growth through guided learning and on-the-job development.
0-2 years enrolled in a community college program or technical program. Apprentices will work 15 – 40 hours per week. (Required)
What You’ll Do
Data Preparation & Quality
- Collect, clean, validate, and organize data from multiple internal and external sources.
- Assist with maintaining data accuracy and quality across recurring reports.
- Support documentation of processes, definitions, and workflow instructions.
Reporting & Visualization
- Build and update dashboards and visual reports using Power BI and Excel.
- Create simple visualizations that help teams understand trends and performance.
- Refresh scheduled reports and troubleshoot basic data or formatting issues.
SQL & Analysis
- Use SQL to query and extract data for routine reporting tasks.
- Perform basic analysis to identify trends, gaps, or performance changes.
- Partner with analysts to review results and ensure accuracy.
Collaboration & Learning
- Work closely with experienced analysts to learn data best practices.
- Participate in training sessions on data transformation, reporting, and documentation.
- Gradually take on more responsibility as your technical skills grow.
- Contribute to project-based assignments and cross-functional work.

Required
- Currently enrolled in a two‑year degree program or technical program.

- Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Interest in learning data cleaning, visualization, and reporting.
- Strong analytical thinking, curiosity, and willingness to learn.
- Clear communication skills—written and verbal.
Preferred (Not Required)
- Familiarity with Power BI, Power Apps, or Power Automate.
- Coursework or experience in statistics, data modeling, or information systems.
- Exposure to datasets through school projects, labs, or self-guided learning.
Ideal Candidate Profile
