Job Description
Position Summary
The Business Architect Lead Consultant will own a focused portfolio within Claims, driving deep analysis of current-state processes and designing scalable, future-state solutions.
This role is responsible for evaluating where to leverage AI, automation, and human intervention, while partnering closely with technology teams to bring solutions to life.
Acting as the primary liaison between business and technology, this individual will translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements and serve as the voice of the business throughout the transformation lifecycle.
As part of building a team focused on advancing customer and employee engagement, this role will lead to work across key communication and engagement platforms, including Freya, Communication Manager, MyClaim, and Hi Marley. This includes auditing and improving customer communications across both automated and freeform channels to drive greater clarity, consistency, and effectiveness. The role will also support the development of customer and employee engagement capabilities within ALLIE, helping shape how agentic AI and emerging engagement models are applied within Claims.
Success in this role requires strong systems of thinking and the ability to translate business architecture into actionable solutions. The ideal candidate will be able to navigate and influence across stakeholders, visualize complex concepts, and communicate ideas through clear, compelling storytelling. Familiarity with Allstate technical architecture and the OBD model is a plus.
Key Responsibilities

Own and lead a defined vertical or portfolio of work within the business.

Conduct deep-dive assessments of current state processes and workflows.

Design and deliver future-state solutions, incorporating AI and automation where appropriate.

Partner with technology teams to define and execute solution requirements.

Act as the primary translator between business stakeholders and technical teams.

Drive alignment across multiple cross-functional stakeholders.

Support transformation initiatives through design, implementation planning, and execution.
Day-to-Day Activities

Collaborating with business stakeholders to understand needs and pain points.

Leading process deep dives and redesign efforts within a specific vertical.

Partnering with technology teams to scope and build solutions.

Facilitating cross-functional discussions and aligning teams.

Evaluating opportunities for AI, automation, and process improvement.

Communicating business requirements clearly to technical partners.
Preferred Experience

3–5+ years of experience in business architecture, process design, consulting, or operations (flexible based on candidate strength).

Experience working cross-functionally with both business and technology teams.

Strong background in process analysis, redesign, and optimization.

Ability to translate complex business needs into structured requirements.

Experience working within transformation or change initiatives.
Team Structure & Location

Part of a broader Business Architecture team.

Role alignment typically owning 1-2 products or work verticals.

Flexible remote location; candidates may sit near key hubs but not required.

Highly collaborative role with cross-functional teams across the organization.
Travel

Must be able to travel up to Max 10%.

Occasional travel to hubs (Chicago, Charlotte, Dallas & Scottsdale) and other locations as needed.

Compensation offered for this role is 100,000.00 – 170,500.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
