Job Description
The position is hands-on technical lead responsible for designing, developing, and supporting enterprise data integration solutions. This role collaborates closely with database developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to analyze requirements, design scalable solutions, and implement high-quality ETL processes. The position plays a key role across the entire System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), delivering reliable data solutions ranging from small enhancements to large, complex enterprise initiatives.
This position offers the flexibility to work remotely; however, candidates must reside in Mexico.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of data integration solutions including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business domains, data requirements, and system dependencies.

Design, develop, maintain, and optimize ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter and/or Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS).

Develop and maintain supporting components such as Linux/ Unix shell scripts, stored procedures, functions, and advanced SQL queries.
-
Ensure high performance and scalability of ETL processes through tuning, monitoring, and optimization.
-
Review and validate test results with business stakeholders to ensure solutions meet functional and technical requirements.
-
Follow and enforce organizational change management, version control, and release management processes.

Analyze business requirements and map them effectively to existing or new data architecture and database structures.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex data integration issues independently in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment.

Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to development team members.

Participate in on-call support rotations and provide leadership during incident resolution and production support activities.
Minimum Skills and Competencies

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience).

7+ years of experience with Informatica PowerCenter (10.x), Informatica IICS, or a combination of both.
-
7+ years of experience with Linux shell scripting and SQL development.
-
Strong expertise in data integration, ETL architecture, and batch/real-time data processing.
-
Deep understanding of dimensional data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and operational data stores (ODS).
-
Proven experience in ETL performance tuning and optimization.
-
Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
-
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred / Desired Skills
-
Prior experience serving as a technical lead or mentoring development teams.

Experience with additional data platforms and ETL tools such as Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory pipelines, or similar technologies.

Familiarity with NoSQL databases and modern data streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis).

Experience working in the insurance industry or other regulated industries.

Strong understanding of data modeling, database design, and enterprise data architecture.

Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high development standards and timelines.
