Job Description
The Campus & Early Careers Senior Consultant role goes beyond traditional recruiting. You’ll lead mid- to high-level searches while serving as a trusted point of contact for your stakeholders—owning the full recruiting lifecycle and helping shape how we attract and engage early career talent. You’ll use your knowledge of the business, industry best practices, and talent trends to enhance recruiting strategies, improve service delivery, and solve complex hiring challenges.
In this role, you’ll also expand your impact beyond day-to-day recruiting. You’ll gain hands-on experience in project management, relationship building, event strategy, candidate engagement, and recruitment marketing—partnering with leaders, peers, and cross-functional teams to test new ideas and elevate the candidate experience. If you enjoy building meaningful relationships, creating memorable experiences, and finding innovative ways to connect talent to opportunity, this role offers strong ownership, visibility, and growth.
Why You’ll Love This Role
- This isn’t your typical recruiter role. You’ll help reimagine how we show up in the market—engaging talent early, identifying talent signals before candidates ever make it to the hiring leader, and building stronger, more intentional pipelines.
- You’ll have room to create. From immersive campus experiences to engaging workshops and candidate touchpoints, you’ll have the autonomy to bring fresh ideas to life.
- You’ll grow beyond recruiting. This role offers hands-on exposure to project management, relationship building, recruitment marketing, event strategy, and cross-functional Talent Acquisition work.
- You’ll make a visible impact. Your work will directly shape candidate experiences, strengthen school partnerships, and help build ready-now early career talent pipelines.
What You’ll Do
- Lead full-cycle recruiting for early career roles, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer management.
- Build and manage strong relationships with Career Services, faculty, and student organizations across target schools.
- Plan and execute virtual and in-person campus events, including information sessions, hiring events, workshops, and other talent engagement opportunities.
- Create immersive learning opportunities and meaningful candidate experiences that help students connect with our brand, culture, and career paths.
- Engage with talent intentionally to help identify talent signals early and build stronger, more informed pipelines before candidates reach the hiring leader stage.
- Help develop and maintain ready-now talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
- Partner across Talent Acquisition and the business to align recruiting strategies, share market insights, and drive strong hiring outcomes.
- Co-create engaging content such as presentations, workshops, and recruitment marketing materials that support campus outreach and candidate engagement.
- Deliver a thoughtful, high-touch candidate experience that reflects strong communication, follow-through, and attention to detail.
What You’ll Bring (Required)
- Experience in full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and offer management.
- Experience building and maintaining strong external relationships, including with university partners, faculty, student organizations, or other talent communities.
- Experience planning and supporting events, programs, or candidate experiences in both virtual and in-person settings.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence, build trust, and represent the organization well with candidates and stakeholders.
- Strong execution skills with careful attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
- Ability to work effectively across teams and adapt in a fast-changing environment.
- A change-ready mindset with the ability to think outside the box and continuously improve how work gets done.
- Experience using Workday as an applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Must live in Chicago, IL or within a commutable distance.
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 35% for campus visits, local office meetings, and large-scale hiring events.
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Experience with Beamery (CRM), HireVue, HiredScore, and Handshake.
- Comfortable using AI as a tool to improve recruiter efficiency and support smarter, more effective ways of working.
- Experience creating talent engagement content, candidate-facing presentations, or recruiting marketing materials.
- Experience supporting broader Talent Acquisition projects or process improvement efforts.
