Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Identity & Access Management (IAM) Engineer to support and enhance enterprise access management platforms that secure critical applications and digital services across the organization. This role will serve as a lead responsible for designing, configuring, implementing, and supporting commercial IAM solutions while partnering with business and technology teams to deliver secure, scalable access management capabilities.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with web access management and identity platforms such as IBM Verify Identity Access, IBM Verify Access, IBM Security Access Manager (ISAM), PingOne Advanced Identity Cloud (PAIC), Ping Access, PingFederate, PingAM, or similar enterprise IAM technologies. This individual will play a key role in product strategy, solution design, vendor management, application integrations, troubleshooting, testing, issue resolution, and mentoring team members.

Key Responsibilities

Support and guide the design, configuration, enhancement, and support of enterprise Identity and Access Management solutions, with a focus on vended access management platforms.

Develop technical and functional designs that address complex business requirements, application access needs, and security objectives.

Configure, develop within, and maintain IAM platforms that support authentication, authorization, single sign-on (SSO), federation, and access control capabilities.

Partner with business stakeholders, security teams, infrastructure teams, application owners, and vendor support teams to deliver secure access management solutions.

Contribute to product planning by creating, refining, and guiding user stories for complex features, including coaching team members who may be learning the platform or process.

Facilitate feature review sessions for complex business issues and requirements, document key decisions, and ensure alignment across business and technical teams.

Create functional designs using moderate technical skills to address complex business processes, product features, and application integration needs.

Support the planning, execution, and review of module, integration, and system testing for assigned features and product stories.

Manage issues, blockers, defects, and implementation risks through resolution for assigned features and product stories.

Review and validate new vendor release features, assess impact, and identify opportunities to improve platform capability and reliability.

Use vendor defect resolution processes, support tools, product documentation, and developer groups to troubleshoot issues and influence future product direction.

Evaluate proposed vendor software products and enhancements in alignment with strategic corporate direction, platform standards, and vendor roadmaps.

Provide knowledge and support for resolving technology issues across multiple business areas and application processes.

Serve as a subject matter expert for access management processes, vended IAM platforms, and related application integrations.

Provide training, mentoring, and knowledge sharing to strengthen team capability and bench strength.

Develop and maintain technical documentation, process documentation, support procedures, and implementation guidance.
Essential Qualifications

5 years or more of experience implementing, configuring, administering, or supporting enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions. (Or Equivalent)

Hands-on experience with one or more enterprise web access management or IAM platforms, such as IBM Verify Identity Access (IVIA), IBM Verify Access, IBM Security Access Manager (ISAM), IBM Verify Access Appliance or related earlier versions, Okta, ForgeRock, PingOne Advanced Identity Cloud (PAIC), Ping Access, PingFederate, PingAM, or similar vended access management tools. (Or Equivalent)

Experience configuring or developing within vendor software to support access management, application authentication, authorization, and secure application access.

Experience implementing and supporting single sign-on (SSO), federation, and access management solutions for enterprise applications.

Experience writing automation scripts to complete the integration mapping automation using scripting languages, such as JavaScript, Python, Groovy, YAML or PowerShell. (Or Equivalent)

Knowledge of common identity and access standards and protocols, including SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and federation concepts.

Experience gathering complex business requirements and translating them into functional and technical designs.

Compensation offered for this role is 98,100.00 – 167,850.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
