Job Description
The Strategic Planning & Integration Expert helps Allstate deliver complex enterprise outcomes that require coordination across multiple business areas, product teams, technology domains, and organizational boundaries. This role turns ambiguity into direction by bringing together the right stakeholders, clarifying outcomes, surfacing dependencies, accelerating decisions, and shaping integrated execution strategies.
Operating as a strategic advisor and player-coach, the Expert helps teams resolve cross-functional barriers, align priorities and sequencing, and develop reusable approaches that strengthen the organization’s ability to deliver change. This role focuses on enterprise outcomes and strategic enablement rather than tactical project administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic planning and integration for complex enterprise initiatives spanning multiple product teams, business areas, technology domains, and organizational boundaries.
- Translate enterprise priorities into clear outcomes, strategic choices, integrated execution approaches, sequencing, dependencies, decision points, and measures of success.
- Create structure around ambiguous or emerging opportunities by framing problems, identifying the right stakeholders, evaluating options, and recommending practical paths forward.
- Apply systems thinking to connect business capabilities, products, technologies, operating processes, risks, and organizational dependencies to support end-to-end enterprise outcomes.
- Bring together business, product, engineering, operations, security, risk, finance, and other perspectives to build shared understanding and alignment.
- Accelerate decisions and help resolve cross-functional barriers involving competing priorities, unclear ownership, complex dependencies, or differing views on the path forward.
- Identify and influence critical dependencies, trade-offs, risks, and decision needs before they delay or undermine enterprise outcomes.
- Serve as a strategic player-coach, providing focused leadership when needed while building the accountable teams’ ability to lead similar work independently.
- Develop executive-ready recommendations, presentations, and communications that translate complex information into clear choices, implications, and actions.
- Design and facilitate strategic working sessions and develop reusable frameworks, playbooks, and operating practices that improve consistency, reduce recurring friction, and strengthen organizational capability.
Experience & Skills
- 7 or more years of experience in technology strategy, strategic planning, enterprise integration, transformation, product strategy, management consulting, operating-model design, or related work.
- Demonstrated experience leading or influencing complex initiatives involving multiple teams, business functions, technology domains, and organizational dependencies.
- Strong systems-thinking and enterprise problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to frame ambiguous problems, evaluate options, establish direction, and translate broad objectives into actionable approaches.
- Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority, resolve cross-functional barriers, and build alignment among stakeholders with competing priorities or perspectives.
- Strong business and technology acumen, with the ability to quickly understand unfamiliar subject areas and connect technology decisions to business value, risk reduction, customer or employee outcomes, and enterprise strategy.
- Excellent written, verbal, facilitation, and presentation skills, including experience developing executive narratives, recommendations, decision materials, and outcome-focused communications.
- Adaptable, proactive, and intellectually curious, with the ability to manage multiple high-priority engagements, respectfully challenge assumptions, and take ownership of complex work with limited direction.
