The Claims Training and Development Facilitator is accountable for providing education for our Claims employees to learn and develop the required knowledge and skills to be successful Trusted Claim Advisors. In this role, you will provide consulting and facilitation for all claims units throughout Canada when required.
This position is also responsible for the design, delivery and evaluation of online training resources, task/procedural documentation, classroom training and organizational development initiatives.
Role Designation: Remote
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitation / Development:
- Facilitate instructor led (ILT) and virtual led training (VLT) for new and existing employees utilizing adult learning methodologies.
- Facilitate topics in line with Leader’s Guide that lead to effective performance outcomes
- Demonstrate effective facilitation skills so learners retain content and transfer skills on the job.
- Demonstrate passion and enthusiasm to maintain a learning environment that encourage learner participation and engagement.
- Assist in development and maintenance of training content as required.
- Monitor learner progress:
- Identify gaps in learner performance based on observation and assessments.
- Communicate issues and performance gaps to learner’s manager.
- Mentors junior teammates
- Evaluation:
- Evaluate feedback and update training material on an ongoing basis as required.
- Make recommendations for enhancements to content.
- Identify and share ways to continuously improve the programs’ effectiveness.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of training resources providing recommendations for improvement
- Consultation:
- Build relationships and consult with Claim Managers and Quality and Compliance team to understand learning gaps and provide solutions.
- Consults with various AORs to identify current operating procedures and clarify targeted objectives for training resources
- Co-ordinate training programs:
- Provide administrative support to co-ordinate delivery of training courses and programs.
- • Develops and implements certification programming including testing and validation for performance initiatives
- Project Work:
- Work with Instructional Designers to provide guidance and consultation for design and development of new programs.
- Create small to medium learning solutions (e.g., job aids, presentations) to support team project goals.
- Conducts organizational development initiatives designed to enhance staff performance and organizational efficiencies.
Experience
- Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience with a focus on Adult Education
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in handling Accident Benefits claims
- Consistently demonstrate Leadership and ACG Behaviours
- Working knowledge with internal Allstate applications (Assistplus, ClaimsCenter, PLUS, etc.)
- Strong organizational skills, time management with the ability to work in an agile environment and coordinate efficiently and effectively.
- Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to present articulately and confidently.
- Ability to adapt positively to constantly changing environment and willing to adopt new practices.
- Strong consulting, oral and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Outlook/PowerPoint/Word/Excel/Forms
- Applied knowledge of learning software is an asset (i.e. MS Teams, SharePoint, Workday, Degreed, Kahoot)
- Able to self-motivate, work independently and collaboratively.
- Handle challenges and devise solutions.
- Bilingual in French is an asset.
