Job Description
The Critical Facilities Engineer is part of the Facility Operations team, responsible for performing preventative and ongoing maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other infrastructure systems in mission-critical, high-risk, or high-reliability environments (e.g., data centers, medical facilities, laboratories, or utilities infrastructure).
Key Responsibilities

Acts as a consistent individual contributor and team member, providing influence, knowledge sharing, training, mentoring, and direction to other staff engineers and peers.

Applies expertise and knowledge to develop concepts, techniques, and process improvements.

Identifies and assists with resolving potential issues and ensures data center uptime and project success.

Reviews major design modifications and upgrades to ensure compliance with applicable codes, safety, and operational standards.

Creates and reviews all mission-critical MOPs (Method of Procedures) and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for accuracy, safety, and business impact assessment.

Always collaborates with partner data centers.
Functional Skills:
Systems Knowledge

Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Venting, Air Conditioning, CRACs (Computer Room Air Conditioning), UPS (Uninterruptible Power Systems), ATS (Automatic Transfer Switches)

Data center infrastructure or other mission-critical environments

Ability to interpret blueprints, CAD (Computer-Aided Design), electrical and mechanical schematics
Process Knowledge

ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) Change Management and ServiceNow Change Process

Compensation
