The Role
Within the Mobility Intelligence segment, the Data Products team is empowered to build insights-based products that mirror the real world. The Product Manager for this scrum team manages the product strategy, discovery, roadmap, and backlog to maximize the customer value provided by their products.
In this role, you will need to understand the fundamentals of data products – from schemas and what they enable to formats and delivery. Experience with location-aware/Geospatial data products would be especially beneficial. The Product Manager will work closely with both their team as well as key stakeholders, requiring collaboration, but also self-direction to execute on their product strategy. As part of their day-to-day work, the Product Manager will need to demonstrate assertiveness, manage diverse inputs with strong prioritization skills, be an effective communicator to internal and external audiences, and have a bias for action.
Product Managers in this role are also responsible for actively participating in our learning culture, including mentoring and working with other members of the product team to drive improvement in our processes.
Responsibilities

Contribute toward and drive the product strategy for products in our Mobility Intelligence segment.

Use stakeholder, partner and customer feedback as well as market insights and data-driven approaches to make decisions about product strategy.

Define and manage key performance metrics (KPIs) as well as Key Results to measure the success of your products and inform ongoing product strategy.

Know your customer: invest time in building awareness of mobility-driven trends as well as speaking with your current and potential customers to understand their opportunities and needs that can be addressed through mobility insights.

Engage in product discovery activities to quickly validate assumptions and product direction.
-
Decompose complex problems with your scrum team, then determining valuable milestones/phases that are prioritized through the product backlog and roadmap.

Manage the product backlog, create an effective vision and provide clear and timely updates to stakeholders on progress.
-
Collaborate and coach members of the product team as well as across the development organization on conducting idea generation, consumer research, test design and execution, measurement, and product implementation and release.
Required Qualifications

Clear passion for working with vast amounts of mobility data to deliver innovative solutions and meaningful insights.

Five or more years of relevant experience developing and launching products – with at least some experience in working with data products.

Entrepreneurial with a strong inclination toward taking initiative and action.

Ability to proactively anticipate problems, recognize potential solutions to those problems, and decide with the team on the best approach to succeed.

Experience operating in a metrics-driven environment where you have the data and accountability to determine the best course of action in meeting product goals.

Ability to communicate complex and innovative concepts to your development team, colleagues, stakeholders and customers.

Understanding of and experience working in a complex, Agile development environment.

Demonstrated ability to communicate across multiple levels of leadership.

Undergraduate degree in engineering, computer science, or related business degree.

A background in the telematics industry

Compensation offered for this role is $104,000.00 – 187,625.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
