Primary Purpose:
Responsible for providing nursing and first aid services to workers who require it due to illness or work accident, develop and implementing occupational health and prevention programs through medical campaigns and programs as well the application of exams to the candidates during the hiring process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
- Perform medical consultations of first contact, first aid and attention to employees
- Diffuse, implement, and coordinate preventive health programs at work to preserve the physical, mental and social health of the worker
- Provide healing materials and medications to the employees as well ensure have it in stock in the medicine cabinet
- Coordinate the employees’ consultation log with the Doctor
- Organize and maintain files and reports of medical service care
- Prepares the Mexican Social Security (IMSS) and Ministry of Labor and Welfare (STPS) occupational accident formats
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with health institutions and departments with the objective to provide different wellness services for the employees
- Develop action plans and follow up to maintain and improve worker health with all the different business units in the company
- Generate and follow up on Occupational Health and Hygiene indicators
- Coordinate monthly health activities for workers according to the annual plan
- Coordinate Safety and Hygiene commissions
- Support in the coordination and training of the different Security Brigades of the company
Minimum Skills and Competencies:

- Bachelor of Nursing or Nursing Technician
- 3 to 5 years of experience in medical care for employees in the workplace, emergencies and accidents
- Experience to fill, review and follow work risks, disabilities process of the Mexican Social Security (IMSS) in the forms (ST7, ST2, ST3, ST9, ST8)
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish strong working relationships with individuals at various levels of the organization
- Experience to conduce the drugs screen and breathalyzer
- Experience to schedule, educate and disseminate health courses and workshops
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
