Job Description
The Principal Platform Consultant, Cyber Resiliency is a senior technology leader responsible for defining and driving the enterprise’s architectural and engineering strategy for its multi-layered recovery solution. Direction will come directly from the Chief Information Security Officer. This role leads a team of three Solution Architects and partners extensively across Allstate Technology Solutions (ATS), Enterprise Risk & Return Management (ERRM), and second-line governance teams, including those shaping the build pipeline through the Business Priority Index (BPI) process.
This Cyber Resiliency leader brings deep solution architecture expertise, a proven record of delivery, and strong cross-functional partnership abilities. This leadership role ensures the organization can rapidly recover essential business processes and platforms from material event disruptions by embedding resiliency into design, delivery, governance, and prioritization practices and building standalone systems for hard failover events. This most qualified leader will be a hands-on engineering practitioner who can direct an enterprise level team of 30-40+ contributors responsible for component level design of necessary network, endpoint, compute solutions to bring the Allstate integrated recovery tech and datacenter-in-a-box to life. This leader should explore instrumentation and automation through AI of resilience platforms and be comfortable prototyping agentic use cases in support of the overall program.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain enterprise cyber resiliency architecture frameworks, patterns, and standards for hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

Lead a team of Solution Architects to design and deliver resilient platform solutions that meet business, security, and operational requirements.

Guide implementation of core resiliency capabilities including recovery assurance, immutable backups, segmentation, clean-room recovery, and automated recovery patterns.

Partner with second-line functions, including the BPI team, to ensure resiliency requirements are embedded into prioritization, investment governance, and risk processes.

Work closely with ATS engineering, SRE, SecOps, IAM, and ERRM to align resiliency architecture with risk appetite, regulatory expectations, and enterprise technology strategy.

Support readiness activities such as resilience testing, tabletop exercises, and operational validation of recovery capabilities.

Provide executive-level architectural insights, recommendations, and roadmaps to senior stakeholders, including the CIO and risk leadership.

Ensure resilience designs support target RTO/RPO objectives, regulatory obligations, and business continuity expectations.

Uplift architectural practices across the organization through thought leadership, coaching, and capability building.
Key Job Qualifications & Competencies

10+ years of progressively senior experience in solution architecture, platform engineering, cybersecurity, or technology strategy roles.

Demonstrated success leading architecture for large-scale, hybrid or multi-cloud environments.

A strong delivery track record—driving resilient architecture solutions from design through execution and operationalization.

Experience partnering across technology, business, and risk functions in a complex enterprise environment.

Experience with resiliency and recovery patterns such as backup/restore, disaster recovery, segmentation, zero trust, or automated recovery workflows.

Prior experience leading or mentoring architects or engineering teams.

Compensation offered for this role is $199,000 – 262,000 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
