Job Description
The Product Management Lead Consultant is responsible for contributing to the definition, delivery, and ongoing management of capabilities that support the modernization of Allstate Dealer Services’ core Admin System platform. This role works closely with business, technology, architecture, and operations partners to understand user needs, analyze existing processes and systems, and help deliver solutions that improve customer and business outcomes.
The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in product management and demonstrates curiosity, analytical thinking, and an ability to work through complex business and technical challenges. Experience with system modernization, platform migrations, or large-scale technology initiatives is highly desired. Successful individuals leverage discovery techniques to validate assumptions, translate business needs into product requirements, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver value.

Contribute to product discovery efforts to better understand customer needs, business processes, operational challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

Partner with engineering, architecture, business, and operational stakeholders to define requirements and support product roadmap development.

Analyze business processes, systems, integrations, and workflows to identify opportunities for simplification, modernization, and improved user experiences.

Author, refine, test, and accept user stories and requirements.

Manage and prioritize product backlog items in alignment with business and customer needs.

Define and monitor product metrics to measure outcomes and inform future prioritization decisions.

Gather and synthesize stakeholder feedback, customer insights, and data to support product decisions.

Participate in discovery and test-and-learn activities to validate assumptions and reduce delivery risk.

Collaborate with technology teams to understand system constraints, dependencies, and implementation options.

Support modernization and migration initiatives by helping document current-state processes, define future-state requirements, and identify gaps.

Represent the voice of the customer and advocate for solutions that balance user needs, business objectives, and technical considerations.
Preferred Experience

Approximately 5+ years of experience in Product Management

Experience working with software engineering teams in an Agile environment.

Strong discovery, requirements gathering, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to understand and analyze complex business processes and system interactions.

Experience working on platform modernization, system migration, digital transformation, or legacy replacement initiatives.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
