Job Description
This job is a Second line risk and control function responsible for the implementation of RRM (Risk and Return management) programs by delivering insights, guidance and constructive challenges risk exposures and control deficiencies within ACG (All State Canda Group). The ideal candidate will collaborate with various AORs to gather and analyze risk data to identify trends or emerging risks that will facilitate informed management decisions.
Accountabilities:

Lead and support enterprise risk assessments by identifying, analyzing, and documenting operational risks, control gaps, and emerging industry trends.
-
Contribute to the enhancement and maturity of the Enterprise Risk & Resilience Management Framework (ERRMF) and related risk programs.
-
Design and execute control testing, key risk indicator (KRI), and issue and incident management activities to evaluate control effectiveness.
-
Apply data analytics to monitor risk trends, identify anomalies, and drive continuous improvement of controls and processes.
-
Track and oversee issues, incidents, losses, and near misses, ensuring root cause analysis and timely remediation.
-
Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards (e.g., OSFI, FSRA, IFRS 17, SOX, Solvency II), supported by testing and validation.
-
Support internal, external, regulatory, and compliance audits by coordinating required data, evidence, and reporting.
-
Prepare clear and insightful risk reporting and materials for Risk & Resilience Management (RRM) governance forums.
-
Act as a trusted advisor and liaison across first, second, and third lines of defense, promoting a strong risk culture through stakeholder engagement, training, and guidance.
Qualifications:

Support and execute a growing volume of risk assessments, ensuring consistent application of methodology, quality analysis, and clear documentation.

Build, enhance, and operationalize risk and control frameworks, including designing second-line control testing programs from the ground up.

Lead control testing across multiple Areas of Responsibility (AORs), assessing effectiveness and identifying gaps, trends, and improvement opportunities.

Analyze risk, issue, and control data to produce clear, insightful reporting and analytics that inform management decision-making.

Own and enhance issue and incident management processes, including root cause analysis and actionable recommendations.

Provide practical, data-driven recommendations to management on key risks, controls, and remediation strategies.

Support the evolution and maturity of existing risk programs, partnering closely with leadership to strengthen overall effectiveness.

Contribute to enterprise risk initiatives across key risk areas (e.g., model, financial, strategic), flexing to emerging priorities as needed.
