Protecting what matters most

Learn one way Allstate supported Blair when her family grew…by two!

According to the USDA, it costs on average approximately $250,000 to raise a child from birth until they are 17 years old. Some may say that is an outrageous amount, where others may say it is just not enough. Blair, an Instructional Designer with Allstate, had this and a lot of other things on her mind when her family was about to expand by two. Luckily, a co-worker reminded her of Allstate’s Buckle Up Baby Program, where Allstate employees can receive a free car seat per child.

“Allstate made it so easy and took one more thing off of my plate and my mind. I was so grateful for that car seat and what it meant to work for an employer that supported me and my rapidly growing family. The commitment that it shows to keeping us safe and balancing our work and life is a message that will always stick with me!” Blair, Instructional Designer

Allstate also offers other perks for working parents such as an onsite day care called Little Hands Child Development Center at Allstate’s corporate headquarters in Northbrook, Illinois, an employee resource group called Parents Working Together and flexible work arrangements.
